To Become a Member of the Roanoke Valley Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America you must be sponsored by an existing member in good standing.
Upon sponsorship, the prospective member will be interviewed by Chapter Officers for acceptance into the Chapter. Upon acceptance, the prospective member will fill out an application and pay a $100.00 initiation fee, a $25.00 refundable property key card deposit, and their first year annual dues of $210.00.
The New Chapter Member will receive a key card that will access our 230 acre property, membership in the IWLA National organization, a subscription to IWLA’s quarterly magazine “Outdoor America”, and invitations to membership meetings and functions.
The Chapter Membership is capped at 350 members to ensure that we do not exceed the carrying capacity of our property and to safeguard the pristine natural environment of our property. Currently we are at our cap of 350 members. Persons interested in joining must submit the following application and will be contacted when memberships are available. We open membership once a year.
